NSS Unit

NSS Unit of Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS)

Beyond academic excellence, TIPS is deeply committed to its socio-national responsibilities through its active National Service Scheme (NSS) unit. TIPS NSS unit is operating from the financial year 2025- 2026 with the kind approval from the Tripura state NSS office, Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports. The NSS team organizes impactful community and nation-building activities in collaboration with the Student Welfare Committee. Assistant Professor Dr. Abhijit Podder (P.T), is the program officer for the NSS Unit TIPS. Team continues to inspire and strengthen its mission of social service among young students.

Vision

  • To develop socially responsible, compassionate, and skilled Allied & Healthcare and Nursing professionals who are committed to provide quality care, community service and nation-building. The unit envisions nurturing leadership qualities, ethical values, and a strong sense of social commitment among students.

Aims

  • To instill the spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility.
  • To promote leadership, teamwork, and discipline among students.
  • To create awareness about public health, hygiene, and social issues.
  • To encourage active participation in community development programs.
  • Activities;
  • Organizing health check-up camps and medical awareness programs on regular basis at different parts of the state.
  • Conducting blood donation drives and health screening camps.
  • Participating in Swachh Bharat (cleanliness) and plantation campaigns.
  • Observing national days and organizing social awareness rallies.
  • Engaging in disaster relief and community outreach programs in nearby villages.
  • Engaging students in different skill development programs to upgrade the employability skills
