About Anti Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee of TIPS has been constituted in strict compliance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to ensure a safe, inclusive, and fear-free academic environment for all students. The committee is a multidisciplinary body with broad representation to address and prevent any form of ragging effectively. It includes a representative from the local police department to ensure legal oversight and prompt action when required, a students’ guardian representative to reflect parental concerns and perspectives, and institutional representatives drawn from the faculty and administrative staff to support policy implementation and student welfare. Student representatives are also included to promote peer awareness, encourage reporting, and foster a culture of mutual respect. The committee works proactively through awareness programs, counseling sessions, and regular monitoring of campus activities, especially during the admission period. It serves as a platform for students to voice concerns confidentially and ensures that complaints are addressed promptly, impartially, and with strict confidentiality. Through continuous vigilance and collaborative efforts, the Anti-Ragging Committee of TIPS is committed to upholding dignity, discipline, and harmony on campus, thereby creating a supportive environment conducive to academic excellence and personal growth.
