About TIPS

The Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) has established itself as a premier institution for paramedical education in the northeastern region of India. Founded in 2009, the institute began its journey as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model institute in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Tripura. Since its inception, TIPS has remained committed to producing skilled healthcare professionals equipped to meet the growing demands of the healthcare sector. The institute is located near Agartala, Tripura.

Affiliations and Recognitions

TIPS is affiliated with Tripura Central University, ensuring that the academic curriculum adheres to national standards. In addition, the institute holds key recognitions and approvals from major regulatory bodies:

• AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board): for courses involving radiological technologies.
• INC (Indian Nursing Council): for nursing education programmes.
• TNC (Tripura Nursing Council): for regional compliance and standards.

These affiliations and recognitions validate the quality of education and training offered at the institute.

Academic Strength and Student Reach

TIPS is privileged to deliver quality education and has successfully placed more than 80% of students in hospitals across India and abroad. The institute offers state-of-the-art facilities, leadership opportunities, and a professional learning environment. At present, 1500+ students from 19 states of India and different countries are enrolled in 19 UG and PG programmes.

The academic structure combines theoretical understanding with practical skill-building through hands-on learning. Students gain both hospital and industry exposure, helping them build confidence, professional networking, and self-esteem. TIPS also promotes holistic development through regular seminars, health camps, workshops, sports, and cultural activities.

Training, Placement and Global Exposure

The institute operates a proactive Placement and Training Cell that bridges students and employers. The cell coordinates internships, on-the-job training, and final placements in hospitals, diagnostic centres, and healthcare institutions. Regular soft-skills and personality development sessions further prepare students for professional success.

TIPS students are actively working in healthcare institutions across India and abroad, including the UK, Gulf nations, and New Zealand. With affiliations across 200+ hospitals in India, TIPS provides extensive clinical exposure and diverse career pathways.
